With The Village Haberdashery kindly letting us loose within their store in West Hampstead, we set up to celebrate an incredible 6 years of The Make Escape!
With crafting tricks and treats, we had a spooky spectacular, we some regular attendees, and fiendish first timers.
Craft projects included jewellery that gives you the jitters, ‘eerie earrings’ made from dolls parts.
Mini macabre ‘Nightmare catchers’ were created up-cycling old bangles and left over bits of yarn.
Pumpkins took shape alongside monsters in the needle-felting workshop.
And over in yarn corner spooky spiders were the handmade, whilst scary sweets and creepy cupcakes and were devoured.
There was an award for the best dressed, with a generous prize donated by The Village Haberdashery, of a ‘treat’ bag full of crafting goodies.
It was hard to pick, between fancy dress skeletons, handmade jumpers, and not one but 2 pumpkins; but in the end it was a unanimous decision to award the prize to a crafter who had made her own dress in a Day of the Dead print fabric, and had accessoried her whole outfit to match.
We hope to see you all at one of our workshops again soon!
